Marilyn Abercrombie, the owner, was born in Canton, Georgia and lived in Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas before settling just North of Houston.

Marilyn has lived in her current home in Montgomery County, Texas since the mid-seventies where she began a career in the construction industry. Seizing the opportunity to purchase neighboring properties she redefined herself. Taking her Jambalaya of Southern upbringing she created Abercrombie Retreats, a continuous work in progress.

Abercrombie Retreats is a work in progress and always will be because of the vision Marilyn has for the property. Combined with her Jambalaya of Southern upbringing, the reality of this vision unfolds daily. Each visit allows one to see the surprises, improvements and, oftentimes, whimsical fantasies of her personality.
